German Shepherds have a terrifying bark that always made me leap out of my skin. By chance, a girl saw me do this when she saw me walk past someone walking their dog one day. She decided to put her skills to the test.
I was enjoying a fizzy cola at a café when she came up behind me and went "WOOF!" right in my ear. I leaped 10 feet in the air and hung off the upstairs windowsill. After laughing for a good few minutes she helped me down and apologised profusely, saying she'd make up for it.
She treated me to lunch and we got talking, then things took off from there and went from strength to strength.
Now and again, when we're snoozing in bed, having a late morning, she'll nuzzle up to be and go "WOOF!" right in my ear, making me stick to the ceiling again. She's just too good at it.
