31 Heavenly Hairdresser

Hairdressers are a lot different now than when I was a kid. Back then it was a sweet old lady who was always very friendly and chatty while she cut my hair in her kitchen. She wasn't like girls my own age, who weren't friendly or chatty and only cared about their make up and nothing else. I loved her and I miss her very much.

For the longest time musicals were terrible and getting worse. They mysteriously disappeared and I was happy for a time, because no one dragged me out on a date to go see one.

My girlfriend was the quiet type. She didn't go to parties but often felt like she was missing out. She said quietly and sadly that she wanted to go to a party. I looked at her bespectacled little face, brushed aside her brown hair, looked in her brown eyes and said "of course babe". I didn't like parties either but I wanted to see her happy.

At School NoLove it seemed like everyone was against us. Teachers tried to separate us, make an example of us and the other kids were encouraged to tattle on every single thing we did outside of class. Our love was none of their business and they were trying to interfere and destroy it.

My girlfriend was the most popular girl in school. It went to her head though and it turned her ugly inside and out. She used to have long blonde hair but she cut it and dyed it red. I could hear more crinkling and it was distracting.

16 Absence makes the heart grow angrier

Whenever my teachers tried to separate me from my girlfriend in school she got very angry. She would argue, she would sometimes scream and even just cling onto me for dear life.

15 Teacher's rest

My English teacher had very large breasts. It wasn't distracting or anything, it just made her classes more enjoyable. I was only too happy to pay attention in class and when she bent over to correct homework, it was the best thing ever, especially when she was close.

I took a peek into the kitchen and saw that they had hired the evil floppy bacon witch as head chef. The bad rap music blasting through the speakers should've given it away. I never ate at this place again.

12 Summer of stability

I never really understood what a "student town" was until summer came along. I was one of the lucky few who got a job and I was able to stay in my student apartment on campus with my girlfriend thanks to it. It was just a part-time work-from-home gig for the summer. We had more than enough free time together to do what we wanted.

One summer I got a job picking strawberries at a local farm. The lady who ran the place... she looked a bit like a strawberry. She had green eyes, freckles and large, plump red lips. I lived two miles away from college. No direct bus route, so I eventually just walked all the time. Then winter came along and it was dark when I left in the morning, and dark when I got home. I never had time to make meals because I was living with 8 other people in my accommodation and only one kitchen. There was always, always someone in there, making some smelly disaster.
