79 The Man who saved my life goes into Exile

A sequel to story "70 The Pug Guru".

I had the worst luck with women until this bearded man with a pug gave me the best advice and coaching I ever got. Now the girls were crazy about me. I wanted to thank him but he just disappeared off the face of the earth. My girlfriend who worked for the airline got me a free flight to the country in eastern Europe where he was staying. I arranged to meet with my other girlfriend who lived there and was bilingual and my other girlfriend whose dad owned car rentals and my other girlfriend whose family ran a hotel chain. Even with so much support it was difficult to find him.

While on the plane I leafed through the book he gave me with the picture of the silhouette couple sitting under a tree on the cover. It was funny how this book was now banned and was going for hundreds of dollars on eBay right now, but he just left it in the café where I worked and he had that talk with me that changed my life. My air hostess girlfriend brought me another cool drink and an extra pillow. It was a long flight.

After a number of days I managed to track him down. I drove up to his place in a big shiny car. What a strange way to live... it wasn't so much a house as it was a cave or something. I told my girlfriend whose father let me borrow the car, my bilingual girlfriend and my girlfriend whose family gave me free rooms in their hotel chain on our road trip, to all stay in the car. I heard the lively sound of a pug barking. Up until now I had my doubts but this was definitely where he was staying now.

I heard many locks being undone before he opened the door to me. He looked a little more grey and weathered than the last time I saw him. His pug rushed out past me and ran up to the car where all my girlfriends pressed themselves up against the car windows as they cooed and doted on him. They obediently stayed in the car like I told them to though.

Before I gushed out words of gratitude, the guru looked at the girls in the car, then at me standing there with his book in my hand and smiled. He knew.

I asked him if there was anything at all I could do for him and he said no, that seeing this miracle was thanks enough for him. He rang a little bell. Then he closed the door. I walked back to the car.

I was about to leave when he opened his door again and said "Maybe there is something you can help me with..."
