It was a stormy day and the internet kept crapping out. I would be through a bit of a video and then I would get errors because the internet would go down again. I paced around the house in frustration and cursed my dependence on the internet. The good news was that my girlfriend was coming over. Her internet was down too.
The knock on the door came and I opened it to behold a figure in a huge glistening raincoat. It was my girlfriend and she was carrying something. I let her in and hung up her coat in the boiler room.
In the bag she was carrying, she took out a hard drive. She said it was stuffed full with movies we could watch while the internet was misbehaving. All we had to do was hook it up to the TV. No online authentication needed, no bull, just movies to last for ages!
We both sat on the couch, enjoying cocoa and movies for the afternoon. The odd time we would glance out at the bad weather and at the internet router, which was flashing green and red. It still couldn't make up its mind whether to work or not but we were a-okay, enjoying movies and each other's company.
