It was lonely in the city without her but she had to go home overseas. Now, months later, she finally came back!
She announced it all of a sudden in an e-mail. She said she was visiting the city and wanted to see me! Wow!
I waited in a hotel lobby for her. Soon she showed up and gave me a big hug and kiss. It was just like old times again! The city was actually very lonely without her. She was the best part. We wandered around, chatting and catching up, visited our old haunts, lamented over places that were now closed and just generally caught up.
We talked about the future, our future. We absolutely loved each other and together we made the city a brighter place again.
