I had only been watching TV for a few minutes but already I felt hopeless and full of self-loathing. The sight of my beautiful girlfriend walking into the room filled me with hope.
"Uh... you watching anything?" she said. I knew from the way she was looking at me that TV was the last thing on her mind.
"Nothing that matters" I said, switching it off and giving her an inviting smile. With a joyful giggle she joined me in the big arm chair, straddling herself across me, ready to love me.
She took my hands and placed them on her growing tummy. We were expecting... well... let's call it a litter. This is what matters right now.
