I walked up to her. She had beautiful red hair and bright blue eyes and soft lips. Some freckles also. She invited me to sit on the swing next to hers so I did. We didn't do any swinging but we chatted for a while. We chatted and shared jokes and dreams and things we liked. Soon we said that we liked each other.
We held hands and looked at each other. She quickly kissed me then ran away, saying she'll see me again soon. I had no idea where she went but that was a lovely kiss. Wow! The evening got dark and cold but I still felt warm inside.
I met her again another evening. We chatted some more and laid on the grass next to each other, looking at the sky. We talked about the orange clouds in the sky. She leaned over me, her red hair falling down on my face. She leaned down and kissed me. Then she got back down on the ground again next to me.
I felt so good inside and couldn't stop smiling. I was so happy. "I love you" I said suddenly. No response. I sat up and looked around. She was gone again. It was getting cold and the clouds weren't orange anymore. I went home.
Every day afterwards I went to the playground at the same time in the evening but she wasn't there. I was very sad and worried. The weather was very gloomy and cold too. One evening at the playground it was very wet and rainy. The only one who appeared was my mother, who showed up in the car to take me home. "I don't know why you're out here. None of your friends would be out on a day like this". I listened to her and waited for the next time it was nice out.
The next beautiful fiery red sky evening came along and I went to the playground. Lo and behold, the girl was there! When we saw each other we hugged and kissed. "I love you too!" she said to me. "Please don't go away anymore..." I said to her and she then told me something.
"I have to go sometimes, but I'll always be back for you, as long as we have sunsets."
I wasn't sure what she meant. She gave me a tight squeeze and hug and kiss, saying she loved me so much but she had to go away until next time.
This time I didn't take my eyes off her. The sun disappeared behind the horizon and she slowly faded right before my eyes.
I waited until the next sunset. When the next one came around I went back to the playground and there she was again, still smiling lovingly at me. I then joined her for whatever little time we had until the next sunset.
