I made movies about girls chasing a guy down to ravish him with their amazing bodies. I loved the way audiences reacted to them but I wasn't so happy about publishers looking down at me, as if I had made something obscene.
They all wanted to do something stupid like put a dog in the movie for no reason other than to poop on the guy and make the girls laugh at him. To me this was obscene but to the publishers this had "broader appeal".
I had to do a lot of things in secret and this made marketing for the movie interesting.
Movie posters featured the dog prominently and the girl looking sassy with the guy buried in the dirt. Meanwhile I leaked rumours online that the movie was going to be about something very different with little or no dog content. I leaked some images of the girl looking amazingly beautiful and kissing the guy who was being a bit shy.
Word of mouth got around. Sales of movie tickets and home releases were very interesting indeed. The publishers made a lot of money but didn't learn the lesson. Luckily I made a lot of money too and set out to do my own publishing.
