44 Rebel Leader

I sat next to the other poor souls at the government's "attend this or else" seminar. The lady who was speaking went up to the podium and sniffed at us before speaking. She literally had a perpetually upturned nose which made her seem like she was looking down at whoever she was speaking to. She had the most horrible condescending voice...

For three hours she barked down at us, calling us lazy good for nothings, saying we must do what we're told or else we'd be culled(though she used a different word). It was brutal. What was I doing here? Of course I knew the answer. I ignored the summons to these meetings until lightning started striking my house. I ran out of hope and had nowhere else to turn. I came to this meeting.

Sometime into the second hour the windows were smashed in by human bodies. The snooty lady screamed when she saw the bloodied corpses of the security personnel crumpled on the floor. The room started filling up with people wearing bandannas and banners, capturing her and freeing us of our shackles.

The leader showed up. She was a tall, busty, dark haired beauty with long jet black hair cascading down her back and intense eye make up that made her look raccoon-like. She too was wearing a bandanna. She walked up to the snooty lady and showed her a screen. There was live footage of the snooty lady's home being struck by lightning and her family being killed by the strikes. "No! Noooo!" the snooty lady screamed in despair. "Yeah that's right. See how YOU like it" the leader said to her and punched her in the face, breaking her nose into a pulpy mess.

I watched this all happen with amazement. Everyone around me were having their shackles removed by these rebels. I had so many questions. I didn't even see these shackles with my own eyes until now. The leader herself removed my shackles personally, giving me a warm, welcoming smile. "Is this really happening?!" I said to her. She showed me her screen. It was of my house this time. Lightning was no longer striking it and it was being repaired and even improved, looking better than ever before. Tears of joy came to my eyes. This delighted her immensely and she gave me a hug saying, "Welcome to the resistance kid!"
