When the week finally came it was surreal. The busy bustling college town became very quiet and easy going. Commuting wasn't crowded and cramped on the bus so we had loads of room to sit wherever we wanted and cuddle.
The usual food places stayed open too. We weren't the only students who stayed. Many others stayed to study and we gave a nod to each other when we met them. We were the only couple around though. Still, it was nice. No crowds, no obnoxious students kicking ball around or playing loud music. It was just an easy going time.
We even met some of the elderly locals of the town. They rarely showed their faces around when it was crowded but we got to know them. They even invited us for tea and meals occasionally.
It was nice to see a quieter, more normal side to our college town!
