I cringed as my friends decided by majority vote that we'd go to The Chicken and Grease... again.
In this place all they had was chicken, grease, or chicken 'n grease. The only saving grace this place had was the cute waitress that worked there. She was always good to me too, giving me some of her lunch while my friends horsed on chicken and grease. They used to tease me about her, which was the only way they could get me to come here at all.
On that day while we were there, the waitress had an announcement to make. She announced that she would be opening up her own restaurant and that I would be joining her for a date there! So that was two announcements!
I accepted gladly of course and the guys cheered, nudging me and telling me it could be my big chance!
She took me to her restaurant, which was much quieter and roomier. She served me the most awesome hamburger with crispy bacon and Swiss cheese, which I used to tell her I longed for so much. I nearly cried it tasted so good.
