315 Name Your Non-Poison

It was the first summer since there was a ban on sugar in drinks and have it replaced with poisonous chemicals for the "greater good", whatever that was. Meanwhile, weather was getting thirstier and people were getting desperate.

My stockpile of cold drinks before the ban came in was getting very low and I was losing hope. I went outside and looked around my neighbourhood. In the distance I saw a stand with a picture of a lemon on it. I smiled and thought why not?

I gathered some money and headed over there. When it came more into view, it wasn't a little girl I saw at the stand, but a full grown, fully developed beautiful woman in a big floppy hat. She gave me a big smile and a greeting and then brought up her sales pitch. When she said "no artificial sweeteners" it was music to my ears and my heart was filling with love and hope again!

She poured me a tasty refreshing lemonade and it was lovely. I stayed at her stand for most of the afternoon and we chatted about everything. I told her about my dwindling stockpile of drinks from before the ban and before I knew it, I was bringing her home with me when she closed up shop.

She laughed with joy when she saw what I had. She held some cans against her cheek and cried. Then she hugged me tightly. Something beautiful was happening now.
