327 Friendly Neighbourhood Government

One day I was going for a walk hand in hand with my girlfriend. We were having a nice time until someone popped out of nowhere and said to us "Hi! I'm the government!"

They started off with smalltalk and then they started asking more probing questions. They asked about what we did for a living, where we lived, what we did with our money.

Then they got very creepy. They started asking for specific information like bank account numbers, passport numbers, dates of birth, blood type. The conversation became very not fun.

When we told them to get lost, they started threatening us. They told us we would lose this thing or lose that thing. They kept smiling the whole time, as if there was a camera pointing at us and they were trying to look good. The contrast of their pleasant smile and not so pleasant threats was jarring.

I had to hold my girlfriend back from punching their lights out because I could see not only the cameras pointing at us, but the guns as well. I excused ourselves politely and said we didn't have that information on us, since we were just for a walk. They nodded and smiled, saying "Of course! I am understanding!"

I tried to reassure my girlfriend by saying it would be okay if we just kept moving and kept sticking to the path. I wasn't able to do this because we heard "You have until the end of the week to come back with this information, or we will take everything from you!".

We walked on helplessly, trying to figure out what to do. We held each other's hands tighter.
