One evening I went for a nap and overslept. When I woke up, the takeaway I planned on visiting was already closed!
I walked past the place with a big CLOSED sign in front. I was sad and hungry. I looked around and everywhere else was closed too, including the convenience store. I couldn't go to the next town either because the bus service was also finished for the night. I was stranded hungry in this little town until the morning...
Just then, my girlfriend showed up. The smell of chips and burgers made me fall even more in love with her. She had bought some especially for me! She asked me why I was late for our date at the takeaway and I just hugged her I was so happy. She hugged back, already forgiving me.
While we sat on the kerb on this quiet night eating I explained about oversleeping on my nap and she nodded knowingly, giving me a teasing tickle and calling me sleepyhead.
We usually ate inside the fast food place, but somehow the food tasted even better right now with just the two of us out here like this, everything closed and quiet for the night.
