My girlfriend and I were part of the community that went underground. We lived good lives and no one bothered us. Occasionally we got curious about what was going on above ground.
We had a peek one day and saw that people on the surface were still treating each other badly and in fact they were treating each other even worse.
Our curiosity satisfied, we went right back underground, happier knowing things could've been a lot worse.
