The social distancing measures were very difficult on me and especially my girlfriend, who was a very expressive person that loved to hug me. After many telephone conversations where the loneliness in her voice pierced my heart, I finally agreed that we would get together to pray... at a safe distance.
We met in the woods and knelt a few feet away from each other. We prayed aloud for a while but I could still hear the longing in her voice. It was unbearable.
Suddenly I was interrupted by her throwing her arms around me and hugging me tightly. "I want to touch you! The LORD wants me to touch you!" she sobbed, hugging me tightly and covering my face with kisses. I couldn't get her off of me, even if I wanted to. We stayed like this in the woods for a long while.
