I always loved how easy going my girlfriend was. She had long blonde hair, sleepy blue eyes and a soft gentle smile with a round face. She came home with me for the weekend. We didn't plan anything special. We just wanted to hang out.
We thought about doing something on Sunday alright but didn't go through with it in the end. We hung around the apartment, watching the latest Saturday Night Live sketches on YouTube.
I needed to do grocery shopping but we couldn't go two steps without snuggling in each other's arms. What we ended up doing was throwing some slices of streaky bacon in the oven to crisp them up. I was short of other stuff but I always kept a lot of bacon. Priorities!
We watched some good sketches, some not as good. By the time the bacon was ready, we snuggled up under a blanket with a big plate of the most delicious, crispy bacon and munched on them while the music act was playing. They were better than usual, though it could be that the bacon added to the experience.
Then Weekend Update came on and it was great as usual. The world was scary outside our comfy blanket and the jokes always made us laugh. We cheered when classic sketch characters came back and we gasped in awe at how talented the new characters were, while all the time munching on wonderful crispy bacon.
