It was one of those Sundays where nothing was going on. Then the internet cut out so REALLY nothing was going on. I was watching one of my favourite streamers on Twitch for company but now that was cut off. I couldn't play any video games either because all of them depended on the internet. I got a text from my girlfriend asking what was wrong. She noticed I was gone from the stream chat. When I texted her back saying what happened she was like "OMG!" and said she'd be over in 30 minutes...
Her car pulled up in the driveway. She came out holding a stack of pizza boxes and a PlayStation 2. My saviour! "Am I the best girlfriend in the world or what?" she said with a smile and gave me a kiss before walking in. This was God's day and he sent me one of his angels.
We set up in the living room. The only game she had was one of those sandbox games where you can do anything in a city. It looked really terrible on the HD TV and the controls were all laggy but it was awesome just doing stupid stuff in the game while eating pizza with my girlfriend.
The next day at school I was telling the lads the internet was out so I just hung out with my girlfriend. They looked at me like I had two heads.
