Late one night I got a knock on the door. I was surprised to find it was my girlfriend floating there.
"Can I lay low here for a while?" she asked, "They found water on the moon and I'm worried they'll find me"
I said of course and let her in.
It was a surprise visit but I was glad to have the company. We spent the rest of the night watching movies until we passed out, just like old times.
When we woke in the morning I was greeted by the lovely aromas of breakfast. It had been so long and I loved her cooking.
We stayed indoors that day and well away from human contact. We watched more movies and played video games as well. She didn't have this stuff on the moon, so it was a big treat for her too.
When evening rolled around, we suddenly got a notion to check out the news. We forgot about it completely with all the fun we were having. They were still talking about the discovery of water on the moon, so it wasn't quite safe for my girlfriend to go back home yet. Ah well. More time to hang out together!
