My girlfriend came home from a long hot day of protesting the hosepipe ban and she was exhausted. She dressed up as a flower and she was wilting in every sense of the word. I put the dinner in the oven and fixed up a treat for her.
I filled a spray bottle full of water and took it to her. I sprayed her face with a cool misty vapour and she perked up, smiling with her eyes closed, sticking her tongue out.
As she told me about her complicated duty of explaining the facts to people that you can still use watering cans to water your plants, I fixed her favourite cold drink. Lemon and lime with ice cold water and ice cubes. She took breaks to spray herself with the vapour and wipe her face with her costume petals.
I poured her a glass and she souped it up really quickly to quench her thirst. Then I poured her another so she could enjoy at a gentle pace. She gave me a big cold wet kiss, which was also nice and refreshing on this hot day.
