At half 2 in the afternoon it was pitch dark outside. The thick grey clouds poured rain the whole day, hitting parts of the windows they hadn't touched in years. On top of that, the TV was yelling at us to stay indoors and watch it. My girlfriend and I decided to just turn it off and we both crowded around the computer.
The internet kept cutting in and out as well, so we couldn't do our usual thing with our online friends. Instead we watched some horror movies we had been avoiding for years.
We watched a movie my friend recommended to me years ago. I finally got around to it and it was extra scary on this dark evening or afternoon or whatever.
No trick or treaters were out because the world and weather were in such a state. There weren't even any fireworks or a bit. All was rough outside and we could feel it, but it was comfy inside.
After we watched the movies, we rang our friends who recommended the movies to us. We had a wonderful catch up and discussion with each of them. This helped to pass the first of the dark evenings away.
