The next day my girlfriend asked me a seemingly random question out of the blue. She asked what my mother's name was. I told her and she started writing it on her chest.
"Why are you doing that?" I asked her.
"You'll see!" she said, writing my address on her chest as well. Then she licked a big heart-shaped stamp and slapped that on too.
"You're not serious..." I said.
"Just watch me!" she said, climbing on top of a post box.
"You're nuts" I said, laughing but she wasn't budging. I couldn't get her to come down off the post box so eventually I had to leave without her.
The next day my mother asked me to help her with something. I went out to her to find her standing next to a huge girlfriend-shaped parcel. "Help me with this will you please, hunbun?" she asked.
There was muffled laughter underneath the wrapping paper. It would take me a while to live down the "hunbun" thing, but I decided it was best to introduce my girlfriend to my mother there and then.
