It rained the whole morning and most of the day. Not much to do so my girlfriend and I just stayed indoors doing various things like napping, loving, and eating.
That evening, the weather cleared up so we decided to go for a walk.
We thought about going to the woods, but the leaves still had big raindrops falling off their leaves. When one of those go down your back? Brrr!
We went to the park but there was nowhere to sit and all the regular people were out running and walking their dogs again. We were bored enough at home... we wanted somewhere else to go.
Then we decided to go to the graveyard. When we got there we saw it was flooded all around it but the area itself was bone dry. Also, no one was in there. We had to go in.
We made a break for home to put on our wellington boots before coming back to the graveyard. We waded through the water and reached the old gate, which was open.
We went inside and walked around. It was so peaceful. No one was here except for the odd crow and determined person wearing wellies themselves. The rest of the graveyard was much quieter than usual.
We visited the graves of our relatives and noticed the difference. There was usually people bringing flowers and all kinds of ornaments. But today, we were the only ones.
After paying respects to our families, we left the graveyard. By then the flooding had subsided somewhat and people were arriving in crowds again.
