857 Magical Hedgehog Bush Girlfriend

When I was growing up, my favourite plants were these big bushy shrubs. They felt so nice and tickly when I rubbed my hands and face in them. I always got the feeling they enjoyed me too somehow. Whenever I found one, I would forget where I found it just as easily.

When I got a little older, I found out what they really were.

My teacher told us about a magical plant that doesn't stand still to grow in one place. It was so rare that bits taken from it were worth several times their weight in gold. When she showed us a picture of it I said that it was my favourite plant. She said it didn't exist, which made all my classmates laugh at me. That felt painful.

After school I tried looking for one, trying to remember all the secret spots I played in when I was smaller.

I eventually found one! I decided to take a picture as proof. As soon as I did though, it wasn't there anymore. I looked around and it was in a different place!

What was moving this bush? It had to be something. I tried a wildcard option. I said "Hello" to the bush.

"Hello" the bush said back. Then it pulled back its foliage, revealing a cute, friendly face underneath. Then it stood up and smiled at me. "I didn't know you could talk" she said.

I stared at her, my mouth agape. "I... I didn't know you could either!" I said.

We got to talking, then we got to hugging. Those lovely feelings I had when I was younger came back when I was tickled by her hair. She said she remembered my joy and it made her fall in love with me. She said she knew about what humans were like with gold, but she knew I had a good heart.

I still see her, but she has to hide in the same way she does because of other people. But whenever I do see her, the reunion is tickly and lovely.
