870 Fried Potatoes and Noodle Broth

I opened the curtains and smiled as the rain beat against the window in front of my face once again. It hadn't stopped raining for days and I was happy at the thought of another day indoors.

My girlfriend came up behind me and hugged me from behind. We hadn't left the house in over a week and we couldn't be happier.
I worked at the computer for most of the day. When lunchtime came my girlfriend gave me some noodles she made with some leftover meat and vegetables. Online everyone talked about what they were drinking. Some said soda, some said alcohol, I said noodle broth.

There was no sign of a low winter sun, so I kept the curtains open. Splashing rain smeared the window and obscured view of the road below.

I continued working with the others. We got to a stage where we needed to take another break. This time my girlfriend brought me a huge plate full of fried crispy salt and pepper potatoes along with some burgers. She even left some salt and malt vinegar and ketchup in case I needed any.

The others ordered stuff like sandwiches and some dumb chicken stuff. Some of them ate close to the microphone as if expecting the rest of us to like it. I turned down the volume and told my girlfriend I loved her so freaking much. I moved the microphone away and ate the delicious food she made for me.
