One day I was hanging out with my girlfriend when some weirdo showed up with a skateboard.
"Hello!" he said "I'm the common laboured plot device that has no place in a story except for a cheap way to bring about conflict! Check me out!"
Neither of us paid him any attention. He didn't go away though and continued to be very annoying.
Just then a crazy guy I knew showed up, grabbed the guy's skateboard and beat him to death with it. Then he dragged his corpse away.
My girlfriend and I continued to go on with our day, enjoying each other's company. This is what it is all about.
