When I was growing up I was the only one in my neighbourhood who had a games console that played cartridges. Everyone else had CD playing machines... or so I thought...
I heard a rumour that someone else played games on a cartridge and they had loads of games. I made friends with this guy and he eventually invited me to his place to play games.
My face dropped when I arrived at his house and saw this CD based games console. We spent the next couple of hours waiting for his games to load. It was excruciating.
I was about to get up and leave when a beautiful tall girl stepped into the room. She looked really annoyed. It was his sister. She complained about the loading times of these games. I looked at her and I was amazed. She said hi to me and asked me if I had one of these consoles too.
I told her no, that I had a cartridge console. She smiled and told me to come with her.
She led me down the hallway into her bedroom. She had a tv and there, plugged into it was the same console I had! Plus dozens and dozens of cartridge games! I was in heaven!
She and I played games for the rest of the afternoon. At the end she gave me a loan of some of them and thanked me for playing games with her, giving me a kiss to send me home.
