The fridges of the store cooled us down even before we got to the ice cream section. We got a tub of our favourite flavour, mint chocolate chip, and it was the same price as those tiny portions we got yesterday at the gelato place.
The commute was significantly more pleasant. There weren't any crazy people getting in our faces, just wide open car parks.
We got back home and both we and the ice cream were safe. My girlfriend scooped out some into bowls and prepared some other tasty snacks while I went out to the back garden to sit under the parasol. Soon, she joined me and we had a nice relaxing cold snack on this lovely summery day.
