It was a roasting hot summer. I looked out the window and could actually see people sunbathing. It was too intense for me. I put on my wide brimmed hat and set off for my girlfriend's place when she invited me.
I could feel the warmth of the sun. It was intense. I moved very slowly. If I walked any faster I would immediately start sweating so I took my time.
I passed by the local shop, which had a big sad sign in the front window, saying the ice cream machine was broken from overuse.
I eventually reached my girlfriend's place. She smiled as she greeted me, sitting under her parasol. She had ice cream ready for us to enjoy. I joined her and we had some tasty ice cream to cool down on this hot afternoon.
