At last, my first day in college! Everything I did in school was leading to this and after years of hype and not feeling good enough, I was here! Up ahead at the gates, I could see what looked like promoters of energy drinks.
I decided to ignore them. They were beautiful smiling girls but I had no interest in energy drinks. I had my "no thanks" answer ready when one of them said "Free girlfriend?", which threw me off guard.
I took a flier and sure enough, they were offering free girlfriends. They said to show my proof of being a student here and I would get a free girlfriend when I went inside.
I went inside, showed my proof and within moments, a beautiful girl walked up to me and said "Hi I'm your FREE girlfriend!" I couldn't believe what I was seeing and hearing. So many dreams were coming true all at once!
Throughout the day I had signed up for student credit cards, student loans and student VIP lists for student nightclubs. I told my girlfriend I was feeling pretty good right now.
She said "there's so much more to sign up for!" and she listed off a bunch of more things. Wow! I got out my free student schedule and wrote stuff down with my free student pen.
Just then another girl came up to me. She was even more beautiful than my new girlfriend. She said to me "Hi! Did you get a free girlfriend?" and I said I sure did! I pointed her out.
No sooner had I done that when this other girl punched my free girlfriend in the face so hard it broke her neck. I yelled "NO!" and held my free girlfriend by her shoulders. Her head started spinning and popped off her shoulders like a jack-in-the-box, revealing that her head was attached to her body by a spring.
"She's... fake?" I said quietly. "Everything here is fake" this other girl said, "look around you!"
I took a look around. What seemed like my heavenly destination from high school was now a dirty, noisy, crowded wasteland.
"Th...this is what college is?!" I said, my world turned upside down. The girl put her hand in mine and started pulling me. "Come on" she said, "lessons aren't learned here. Come with me and I'll help you"
Soon I was in the passenger seat of this girl's airship. As we flew away from the college, I looked at it one last time and saw it for the dump it truly was. What was I being told all these years and why?
