My girlfriend and I walked down a big empty road in the city one night. We were light on our feet and skipped along. I felt in that moment like there was nothing in the world more important than her and so, I told her I loved her for the first time. She was so happy she grabbed me and leaped high up into the air.
I closed my eyes until we landed. "I love you too!" she said and gave me a big smooch. I opened my eyes and looked at her fondly. Then I looked around. She was carrying me bridal style and was standing on top of one of the street lights. I held on to her for dear life.
"Wheee!" she yelled as she leaped forward, landing on the next street light. I was speechless. "I don't mind telling you now, but I'm a ninja!" she said, jumping again on to the next street light.
She continued jumping from light to light along the road with me in her arms. "This is how I like to travel. It's faster!" she said, giving me another kiss.
I continued holding on for dear life and for the ride. Her leaps were becoming so swift it was like she was driving along the path of street lights that lined the roads.
