I looked up from my burger and came face to face with the end of her golf club pointing at me. She had a beautiful smiling, kind face. I nodded and she helped me along.
She took my other hand in hers and took me away from all this.
Soon I was on the golf course with her. No one else was around. I wasn't sure what to do, except give her what she asked for and helped her along.
She was very chatty with me, talking about her life and inviting me to have dinner with her. I enthusiastically accepted.
When she had a tough shot, she would ask me to kiss her cheek for good luck. I would do it and she sank the ball in the hole every time. She leaped with delight and hugged me, thanking me for my good luck charm.
I still caddy for her, and not just on the golf course but around the house, where she invited me to live with her.
