798 Hugs in the Era of Social Distancing

I sat on the bus and took out my handheld gaming console. It was a special device that also loaded up multimedia files. I loaded up the latest issue of the zine from the underground revolution group. It was a nice companion for these long journeys.
It was full of information, current events, cartoons, stories, letters and other content of an anti-authoritarian nature. It was great.

Suddenly the bus came to a stop. It was another checkpoint. Police got on board and inspected everyone on board for propaganda. I loaded up a harmless video game. The cop got to me and stared at my screen for a moment before moving on.

When they finally left I loaded up my zine again. I continued reading stuff comfortably.

I finally found a coded message from my girlfriend. She was a contributor to the zine and I deciphered the information that detailed a meeting place for us. I enjoyed the rest of the trip until I got to my stop.

It was dark. I made my way to the meeting place and there she was. She ran up to me and gave me a hug. She picked a good place to meet. Hugs were forbidden but we were able to enjoy one here.
