My girlfriend and I looked in shock at the free website we had used for years suddenly asking us for money. It made our head spin. It was the way the world was going now, but we couldn't afford it.
We went through the stages of shock, anger, bargaining, acceptance and whatever else. We also looked for other websites to do business, but they were even more expensive. We had to do business in person.
It took a long time, but we established rapport with people. We learned about their problems and we came up with solutions to their problems. We were able to make a business catering to their needs. All without having to use an internet service.
Then when it came to payment, many of them asked if they could do it over the internet. We said no!
