I was sitting around the floating apartment one day with my robot girlfriend. We were watching a livestream of an open world video game being played. She was busy disabling the ads but she was also watching it with me. The storyline featured people who lived in a rough city and was full of violence, double crossing and running around doing missions for gangs.
She noticed it made me feel a bit sad and cuddled up to me. We wondered if real city life was like that, so we flew the apartment to an airspace above a big city and looked down.
We watched for quite a long time as well. People were like ants below and there were sirens but everything seemed to be routine and not very dramatic. The scenery was there but the storyline of everyday life there was kind of hum drum.
We discussed this as we went back inside to fly the apartment back home. We found that city life was kind of miserable, but in a very mundane way. It looked very much unlike the city life that was depicted in entertainment or in news for that matter.
