My poor girlfriend was beside herself with depression. She was very sporty and outgoing, so the pandemic quarantine was very difficult on her. I did my best to keep her amused and we both got through it.
I on the other hand was a real home bird. I was happiest when at home. I was actually really happy when I got a chance to catch up with the world slowing down. Home was where my heart was.
I wanted to be with my girlfriend when we went on our crazy adventures. When the restrictions were eased we went a bit of a crazy adventure through the woods. She said she wanted to F!!@# me up against every tree in the forest and I think she might've with the amount of time we spent in there.
We took a break from frolicking and I went to the car, taking a lie down. I absentmindedly picked bits of treebark out of my clothes. My girlfriend looked at me, smiling happily, her face full of love.
"Thanks for going out with me today babe. Let's cuddle up in your favourite blanket later" she said, holding my hand warmly. I murmured back with delight and held her hand tight.
