I was a little worried about the cops when I left the house, but I was cooped up for so long I wanted to get some exercise, so I went out.
I walked for quite some time and worked out a sweat. Suddenly I heard a "NEE NAW NEE NAW"... not a siren, but a girl actually yelling the words "Nee naw nee naw".
"Halt!" she said, stopping me in my tracks. She was about the same height as me and she was wearing a uniform. "Sir! Are you hydrated?"
"We...well... now that you mention it... I am pretty thirsty..."
"Wowsers!" she yelped, running back to her bicycle, pulling something out of a small box. It was a cold sealed bottle of water, dripping delectably with condensation. "Here! Drink this sir, and please be careful!"
I gratefully took the bottle and drank the water. It was the best I had ever tasted. "Thanks officer!" I said to her. She said " Just doin' mah jawb, sir", then "Be sure to hydrate this summer!" and "Farewell, sir!" before she went on her way.
I watched as she cycled away. Then I looked at the bottle before holding it to my chest. Then I drank from it again. I was in love.
